"The author was spot on! Rainy Day Kids took me back to my own childhood! Children need to see and feel that they are represented in all aspects of life...I wish, growing up, I saw a little girl who resembled myself, in books that I read....now I have books for my nieces, nephew and even my own grown children."

-Takya Browning

What are People Saying?

School administrator publishes 'Rainy Day Kids,' a children’s book about resilience

When Milling was growing up, he said his mother always gave him anecdotes, or sayings, that did not quite make sense to him until he became an adult.

“So that’s how the sayings and anecdotes get implemented into the story,” Milling said. “And it’s just a story about resilience, about the importance of having somebody there with some wisdom and being able to overcome some obstacles.”
